To the Maui Police Officer at the gas station in Wailuku who helped a man with gas money: Thank you for your empathy, compassion and generosity. You’re a credit to the badge you wear. Thank you for not being judgmental of the man’s scruffy appearance. Your altruism shows that you graciously serve the community you’re also sworn to protect.
